Why Niche Sites? Why SEO?
There are a lot of different ways you can succeed online. There’s paid traffic, CPA offers, affiliate marketing, SASS businesses, and even offering services virtually.
While every one of these methods are profitable, the thing that attracted me most was building out niche sites and learning how to become an SEO expert to drive traffic.
Why?
Firstly, it’s just so wonderfully passive. I don’t think there’s anything quite as passive as owning a high-traffic niche site.
There’s no other business model where I can literally take weeks off from work, and drive tens of thousands of visitors to my site with no cost out of my pocket.
The work has been done. It’s ranking, it’s driving traffic, and it’s making money.
There’s no need for me to deal with clients, or deadlines, or spend hours with customer support.
Everything is so laid back… which is perfect for my personality, and my goals.
The second reason I love niche sites is that I love being a webmaster.
Traffic excites me.
Logging into my analytics, seeing traffic growth, and realizing that real people from around the world are visiting my site is an exciting feeling.
And taking a new site and growing it into the #1 ranked site in my niche… that’s an incredibly satisfying feeling.
To know that your site is the #1 authority on a topic on the entire internet is an amazing feeling that still excites me every morning I wake up.
The third reason I love niche sites is the payoff potential in the future.
One of the greatest things about working on a niche site is that you have the option to sell it for a large payment whenever you like.
Websites can be sold for 20-30x its monthly multiple once they’re grown to a certain level.
So if you have a site making $5000/month, that’s a six-figure deal that you can initiate on site flipping websites like Flippa.
It’s like owning a piece of property… on the web.
It’s not like all the hard work you put in will be for nothing, and just disappear one day if you decide to stop working on it.
Every dollar you increase in monthly revenue, and every milestone you reach in traffic growth, it’ll all go toward making your website a more valuable piece of property.
And there is no shortage of hungry buyers looking for these high-traffic, high-income niche sites.
Building out niche sites is not rocket science.
It’s not even as complex as starting something like a software startup.
From a business standpoint, it’s as simple as it gets.
You just have to know what you’re doing and then do it.
It does take work, and like any business it takes time and commitment. But the model is PROVEN. My own business is thriving from it, and so are a whole lot of others.
It’s NOT something you have to put out there and blindly hope it will be a success.
And it’s NOT something that has never been done before.

A few years ago, I worked more hours than I do right now. I was even a little hungrier for success than I am right now.
I would work tirelessly on my niche sites, drooling over others’ success stories, while being constantly frustrated that I had spent years working online without being able to turn it into a full-time income for myself.
I considered myself a talented SEO. I was working full-time at a reputable SEO agency with a very experienced team and worked on projects for some very high-revenue clients.
Still… I hated my job. I didn’t hate THE job. I hated the fact that I had to work a job, any job, period.
If I was so talented, why couldn’t I create results for myself?
My niche sites weren’t even making $1000/month at that point.
I would work day and night on my niche sites, and I would finally hit the #1 rankings for my keywords.
BUT IT DIDN’T MATTER. No matter what I did further, that site was capped at a few dollars per day.
Obviously, I was doing something wrong.
It wasn’t until I shifted my strategy and focus entirely that I crossed my first $100/day.
It clearly wasn’t my skill or dedication that was the problem.
I was just doing the wrong things.
It didn’t matter how many hours I spent doing them.
They just didn’t work.
When I changed my focus to creating large authority sites rather than small micro sites, I broke my first $100/day in 3 months.
After consistently doing this for 5 months, I quit my day job to focus on this full-time.
The beauty with the SEO niche site model is that one $100 day isn’t a mere fluke that you have to wonder if you can replicate the next day.
Once a site makes $100/day, it’s only going to grow from there.
It’s consistent because traffic is driven organically through search using SEO, and strong link building.
Once you get to that level, the only thing you need to focus on is growth: How do you grow from $100/day to $500/day to $1000/day?
